Take back from the rich and give to those in need!
Little John: You know somethin', Robin. I was just wonderin', are we good guys or bad guys? You know, I mean, uh? Our robbin' the rich to feed the poor.
Robin Hood: Rob? Tsk tsk tsk. That's a naughty word. We never rob. We just sort of borrow a bit from those who can afford it.
- Robin Hood, Walt Disney 1973
Well...maybe this isn't exactly robbing from the rich...but it is a good way to give to those a little more in need.
Loblaws has been all over the news as of late regarding bread price fixing and the $25 gift cards they will be handing out to make up for the price-fixing scandal. Anyone who bought bread from a Loblaws store (including No Frills, Superstore and Zehrs) is eligible for a card. Basically if you bought bread from 2002-2015 from a Loblaws store you likely qualify. Signing up for your card is quick and easy, it really only takes seconds!
If you are feeling chaitable with this extra $25 you weren't expecting the following breweries will happily take that gift card off your hands to donate it to a local shelter or food bank.
The following are a list of breweries that will gladly take your gift card and donate it on your behalf when you stop in to fill up a CanKeg or grab a pint or both! They are all over the province so you have lots of options.
Thank you to Bent Stick Brewing for letting us know and Thank You to all the breweries participating!
